and-a-dead
brother.
Swinging-legged-on-a-chair-with
a-remorseful-slump-glancing
uncomfortably-at-the-black-eyed-kid/
victim-next-to
him.

A face to meet all the faces.
A worthy performance for every discerning eye.

But under the sour milk coffee shop lights
the saddest watery blue eyes in the world stare
at ripped sugar packets and he says,

"I am not really comfortable--I just play one on T.V., you know what I mean?"
